‘Anyone can get hit’ – Jasprit Bumrah supports Daniel Sams after 35-run over against KKR

"Anyone Can Get Hit"- Jasprit Bumrah Supports Daniel Sams After 35-runs over against KKR

The Mumbai Indians are desperate for their first two points in the Indian Premier League in 2022. This team has lost all four of its first-round games, the most recent of which was a seven-wicket loss to the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 9 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, in a one-sided encounter.

As the Mumbai Indians prepare to claim their first victory of the season, Jasprit Bumrah, the team’s pace spearhead, has provided some sound advice to one of his bowling partners, Daniel Sams. Sams may not have had the ideal start to the IPL so far, but Bumrah believes that the Australian bowler has the experience to recognize what has to be done in such situations. He was the target of Pat Cummins’ assault against KKR, as the left-handed pacer conceded 35 runs in a single over against KKR.

Jasprit Burmah backs Daniel Sams to move on from the incident

“As you can see, this is Twenty20 cricket,”  Jasprit Bumrah said at the pre-match press conference before the PBKS game. “Anyone may get hit, and anyone can have a good or horrible game, but it is critical in this game that you do not take any baggage with you as you go forward because there are back-to-back matches. With so many games going on at the same time, you have to move on fast, and he knows that as a seasoned cricketer. He needs to grasp that.”

“The fact that every bowler in the past has been struck ensures that everyone understands, that everyone has developed skills, and that everyone knows how to go on,” Bumrah continued. “We’re just having a conversation about what we should do if we find ourselves in that situation again: how can we support him and what are the best strategies we can come up with?” He added, “Apart from the fact that he has extensive expertise, he is eager to contribute whenever the chance arises, and nothing else is more essential than that.”

As of now, Daniel Sams has only taken a single wicket in the three matches in which he has taken part. While Jasprit Bumrah would want to see his own name more in the wickets column, he will have to settle for less. He has three wickets from four games and went wicket-less against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. On April 13, MI will take on the Punjab Kings at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
