The Bangladesh cricket team is touring in April and May 2021 to play 2 -Test matches in opposition to Sri Lanka. This will be Bangladesh’s final series in ICC Test Championships. So, Bangladesh will get a probability to open their account in the Test Championship points table. The test series will also form a part of the opening 2019-2021 ICC World Test Championship.

Whereas, before the 3 test tour was decided to take place in July and August 2020 but it was postponed to October 2020 due to the COVID-19. However, in September 2020, the tour was again delayed, after both boards could not agree on the quarantine requirements for the matches. In December 2020, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was considering touring Sri Lanka in April 2021 to play 2-Test matches. In 2021 February, the BCB confirmed that the tour of Sri Lanka would be held in April 2021. Therefore the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the dates on 19th March 2021.

On 9 April 2021, the BCB announced a 21-man Squad for the 2-Test matches

1st Test

Venue: Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy

Date: April 21-25

Time: 10 AM IST

2nd Test

Venue: Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy

Date: April 29-May 3

Time: 10 AM IST

In Sri Lanka, the matches will be shown on Sri Lanka Rupavahini (SLRC).

In Bangladesh, the matches will be telecasted on T Sports. Indian fans can watch the tournament on Sony Sports Network. The exact details will be uploaded, once available.

In India, the coverage of the event would be available on the Sony Sports Network in India. viewers can catch the action on the Sony LIV platform. However, Sony Six India has the telecasting rights of the contest between the Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka and the matches can be enjoyed on Sony Six and Sony Ten 3.
