Harshal Patel Leaves The Bio Bubble After A Death In His Family

Following the loss of a family member, Harshal Patel, a fast bowler for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, has been forced to leave the team’s bio-bubble for a tragic situation – the death of his sister. Harshal was informed of the incident during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s seven-wicket victory against Mumbai Indians on Saturday (April 9). As a result, he left the team’s bio-bubble to be with his mother and father.

It should be mentioned that Harshal has been an integral member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team since last season, and his IPL record is outstanding as well. He was also vital in RCB’s victory against MI, as he only conceded 23 runs in the four overs allotted to him and got two wickets along the way. It is expected that he will rejoin the IPL bubble before the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s next match against the Chennai Super Kings, which will take place on Tuesday (April 12).

Harshal Patel will return to the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the match against CSK, likely to not play

“Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune,” said an IPL source, according to a report in India Today. Meanwhile, Harshal has been on a tear this season, taking six wickets in the games he has played thus far. He has also contributed some valuable runs towards the bottom of the order.

As a consequence, RCB won three of their four games this season and is presently ranked third in the team rankings. The fact that Harshal earned the Purple Cap in the IPL 2021 last season for taking 32 wickets should not be overlooked. As a result of his strong start to the season, the 31-year-old is expected to perform very well.

In addition to Harshal, the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Dinesh Karthik, and Virat Kohli have all been outstanding for the Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. Faf du Plessis, the new South African captain, has not only impressed with his batting skills, but also with his leadership abilities. So it will be intriguing to watch whether the Bangaluru-based side can finally claim the coveted crown this time around or if the wait will have to be extended any further.
