After disappointing billions of cricket fans in the T20 World Cup 2021, India finished their World cup journey without entering the semi-finals. All their hopes of entering the semis crashed when New Zealand defeated Afghanistan one day before India vs Namibia match. Although almost all of the cricket betting sites in India predicted that New Zealand will win the match because Afghanistan is not a very strong cricket team. However, Indian fans were hoping for a miracle to happen, but unfortunately, the prediction of cricket gurus came true and New Zealand easily defeated Afghanistan to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021. 

Now the Indian cricket team has a packed schedule after the T20 World Cup. There are ODI, T20, and Test matches to be played between the top teams. Let’s check out the full list of upcoming cricket series for the Indian team.

India – New Zealand Series (Home)

New Zealand had an unforgettable T20 World Cup where they lost to Australia in a thrilling match. They were in the match until the 16th over. However, a dropped catch later and some fantastic shots by Mitchell Marsh took the game away from them. Now India takes on New Zealand in a 3 T20 International series followed by 2 test match series.

It will be interesting to see how the new T20 captain Rohit Sharma will lead the side along with the new Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid. Indian cricket fans have high expectations from the combination of Rohit and Dravid.

Here is the schedule of the 3 T20 matches to be played between India and New Zealand.

1st T20 International to be played on 17 Nov at Jaipur (7PM IST)

2nd T20 International to be played on 19 Nov at Ranchi ((7PM IST)

3rd T20 International to be played on 21 Nov at Kolkata (7PM IST)

After the T20 series, India will play two test matches.

With Virat Kohli rested for the first test match, Ajinkya Rahane will be the captain for the first test match. C Pujara is the vice-captain and W Saha is the WK. Big missing names from the India – New Zealand series are Bumrah and Shami.

India – South Africa Series (Away)

India will travel to South Africa to play 3 Tests, 3 ODI, and 4 T20 Internationals from December 2021 to Jan 2022. Check the full schedule here.

Indian Premier League 2022

It is tentative to be played in April – May 2022. This season will have 10 teams with the addition of 2 new teams in the IPL.
