The most awaited Tokyo Olympics 2021 games are finally here. The opening ceremony followed by the games will commence on 23rd July in Tokyo, Japan. This is the second time Tokyo has been selected as a host country for the Olympics, the first was held in 1964. Tokyo Olympics 2020 was planned between 22nd July to 9th August 2020, but due to the COVID-19 crisis, it was decided to postpone it to 2021. Since the games were rescheduled, it gave the aspirants a silver lining to train even better. It is expected that all of them will give a tough competition and win gold for their respective country.
Star date Tokyo Olympics 2021
The Olympic Games 2021 will start on Friday, 23rd July 2021, following the opening ceremony held at Japan National Stadium in Tokyo. Despite the fact it’s taking place in 2021, these Olympics are still being officially referred to as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. There will be 33 competitions and 339 events held across 42 competition venues. The motto for this year’s Olympics is United by Emotions.
