Crystal palace is currently at the 12th position in the English Premier League. Eight players have six months remaining on their current contracts, which is similar to what the Eagles faced in 2021.
Luka Mlivojevic, the current captain of Crystal Palace has seen his role diminish over the past few seasons. He has only started two games this EPL season. Although he is unlikely to be a part of the clubs longterm plans, they may not have qualified alternatives. This may be a result of a contract extension, however he might choose to move away at the end of the season
Wilfred Zaha’s stellar career at the club may be coming to an end this season. The player has scored 6 goals this EPL season so far and is currently keeping his options open after rejecting several contract extension offers from Crystal Palace. After signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr and various clubs across Saudi Arabia are trying to attract more players, especially from the top European leagues and Zaha is on their radar. Zaha’s exit from the club would leave Palace in a tough spot as they will have to hunt for their next talisman who helps them survive in the top division.
Nathaniel Ferguson has struggled during his tenure in the club and has not had much time on the field. The 22-year-old player is currently injured. However, given his young age and his his potential, the club could extend his contract.
