The 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship; the upcoming season is scheduled to be the 2nd edition of the ICC World Test Championship of Test cricket. However, World Test Championship 2021-23 Start Date is scheduled to run from 4th August 2021 to 31st March 2023. Similarly, unlike the first WTC edition, the nine nations competing will play 3 home and 3 away series. Where each team will play around two to five test matches in each series. The five-match Pataudi Trophy between England and India will be starting from 4th August 2021 will kickstart the second cycle of the World Test Championship. However, the series along with the Ashes, in December 2021; will be the only two series include 5 Tests in the second WTC cycle. Whereas, England is set to play the highest amount of matches (i.e. 21 matches) in the 2nd edition of WTC. However, Bangladesh will be playing a minimal number of matches, i.e. 12. And also the defending champion New Zealand will also play just 13 games.
